Having an old villa means that we have 3 fireplaces in our home, each with a mantlepiece that is a focal point in those rooms. I enjoy styling these mantles as they provide a perfect ledge for displaying groupings of loved items. In this blog I provide some basic tips to help you style a mantle, or if you don’t have traditional fireplaces in your home then the same principles can be applied to a console or dresser.

With a long weekend approaching and potential hosting of friends and family, we wanted to share some styling ideas and tips for a guest bedroom. These tips translate to any bedroom, however it is nice to elevate a guest space for a luxurious feeling that might be less personal than your own bedroom. The cooling weather and move into Autumn has dictated the tones chosen for this space, resulting in a cosy and inviting bedroom.

Kitchens are the heart of the home, the place where everyone gathers and where life happens. They are one of my favourite rooms to design as they set the tone of the home. I am a firm believer that kitchens should spark joy, and for me that means hiding wall ovens and using integrated appliances which allows the eye to focus on the beautiful over the functional.

Shelves, built-ins and bookcases have developed over time, from a functional place to store books to, in some cases, glorious spaces filled with treasures, art and curated objects.

Our main lounge coffee table is probably the most changed out styling space in the home as we use this room for various purposes throughout a week.
