Heather’s 1 of 1 Studio Edit is a weekly release of singular, one-of-a-kind faux arrangements, each designed and made just once in our studio. This series allows Heather the freedom to express herself creatively, designing artistic, sculptural pieces guided by intuition, material, and moment — without repetition or constraint. Each arrangement is created for 'one space only'. When it’s gone, it’s gone.
 
Inspiration
Another stunning new vase inspired this large arrangement - one we’ve nicknamed The Black Tuxedo. Sharp, intentional, and undeniably masculine, the design called for understated confidence, a limited palette, and a sense of clarity and restraint. 
 
Design Intent
Strong, structured lines create a sense of presence without complication, much like a perfectly tailored suit. There is no need for embellishment; its impact lies in bold simplicity, balance, form, and line.
 
The Details
Smooth tropical foliage answers this brief beautifully - deep in colour and sculptural in form. Emerging through these bold leaves are vivid green Bells of Ireland, adding a striking accent, while black calla lilies bring a polished edge. Their smooth, curved forms feel refined, deliberate, and commanding. The matte black vessel adds weight and grounds the piece.
 
Where It Works Best
This arrangement works beautifully from every angle, making it ideal for a dining or large coffee table, or a floating hall table. It also sits effortlessly on a console against a wall. Its versatility allows you to move it around your home to refresh a space. For a more atmospheric setting, it would suit a large, dark, sculptural metal table in a low-lit, moody, masculine foyer—where it becomes a striking focal point.
