Heather’s 1 of 1 Studio Edit is a weekly release of singular, one-of-a-kind faux arrangements, each designed and made just once in our studio. This series allows Heather the freedom to express herself creatively, designing artistic, sculptural pieces guided by intuition, material, and moment — without repetition or constraint. Each arrangement is created for 'one space only'. When it’s gone, it’s gone.
 
Inspiration
Drawing on the richness of late autumn - a season of abundance and generosity. Saturated tones of burgundy, plum, and crimson are softened by sun ripened fruit and trailing berries. It is grounded, earthy and whimsical. Arranged in a heavy black iron vessel, reminiscent of old weighted kitchen scales, it anchors the piece and echoes the idea of measuring the harvest and the ritual of gathering. Its deep, matte finish grounds the entire composition, allowing the tapestry of colours to feel even more saturated and luxurious.
 
Design Intent
Low, expansive, and slightly asymmetrical, the design draws the eye horizontally, creating a sense of generosity and ease. The structure is intentional but not rigid allowing elements to spill and extend outward naturally. It balances weight and movement, with denser floral groupings anchored by softer, trailing textures that create flow and rhythm.
 
The Details
A layered mix of velvety blooms, dahlias and ranunculus are nestled among allium and artichoke spheres. Glossy, oversized magnolia foliage provides a strong, architectural base, while finer stems and delicate berry trails introduce lightness and movement. The inclusion of pears adds warmth, seasonality, and an unexpected low focal point drawing the eye to the beautiful vessel. 
 
Where It Works Best
This piece would feel most at home in a bustling, cosy, foodie environment - a large family home, a deli, pâtisserie or café, or relaxed eatery where abundance and beauty are part of the everyday. It would sit beautifully as a statement centrepiece on a long dining table or kitchen bench, in spaces that celebrate generosity, seasonality, and a rich, welcoming atmosphere.
