Heather’s 1 of 1 Studio Edit is a weekly release of singular, one-of-a-kind faux arrangements, each designed and made just once in our studio. This series allows Heather the freedom to express herself creatively, designing artistic, sculptural pieces guided by intuition, material, and moment — without repetition or constraint. Each arrangement is created for 'one space only'. When it’s gone, it’s gone.
 
Inspiration
This XXL arrangement truly celebrates the beauty of nature! It is inspired by the summer sunlight as it passes through leaves and creates, beautiful, dappled light patterns. Using only tones of green it feels abundant, lush, and relaxed.  
 
Design Intent
To create something that balanced-strength and delicacy. Designed to capture the ease of summer. I didn’t want anything to be jarring about this composition. Just layers of soft calming greens, an arrangement that evokes a sense of calm and joy. 
 
The Details
I have arranged the branches to move freely and reach outward, the light airy grasses,  provide movement, green proteas and velvety magnolia leaves ground the arrangement, the Midori Anthuriums deepen the lushness in the green and add to the playful “danciness” of the design. The fresh-look Bells of Ireland you can almost smell! Your eye discovers something new each time you look at it.
 
Where It Works Best
Because of the scale of this arrangement it would be best situated in the entrance of a large spacious home or hospitality or reception space, where it can help to enhance a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It would be best positioned on a console or plinth against a wall, where a clean backdrop allows the design to truly stand out. The rich green colour palette acts as a natural neutral, harmonising with both bold/vibrant and muted colour schemes.
